ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION
Add cards
Press Search or Enter to search all English printings. Use the bottom-edge number to narrow the results. Only search text is sent to TCGdex—not photos.
Find your first card
Type a name, then choose the exact printing.
Same name can mean different attacks.
One photo. Up to six cards.
Ask a grown-up to help. Lay English cards flat, face up, without overlapping. Keep every name and bottom set number visible.
✓ Photos stay on this device. Camera permission is optional; no microphone or recording. Images are temporary and are never sent or saved.
Make the card upright
Rotate first. Then drag the handles to the card’s edges.
Fit the outline around one whole card, including its name and bottom number.
Drag inside the outline to move it. Drag outside to pan the photo. Use corners to resize; pinch or scroll to zoom. With the editor focused, arrow keys move the outline and + / − resize it.
Check what we’ll read
Name at the top. Set and number at the bottom. Both should be upright and visible.
Optional: for cards at different angles, add each card to the batch, then frame the next one.
Cards to check
Every match needs your confirmation. Grid layouts work best with evenly spaced, aligned cards. For different angles, crop cards one at a time. Rotation won’t fix glare, blur, or perspective distortion.
Can’t read it? Use the printed name or number
Type what you can see on the physical card. We’ll show matching printings to review.
Review the text we read
Exact IDs are fastest. Names can have several printings; choose each match before adding.
Use rows with card and qty, or id and qty for a known printing.
Validate before saving. No changes have been made.

How we build your deck Rules, reasoning & sources ↗
The rules we check
- Exactly 60 cards and at least one Basic Pokémon.
- At most four copies by name, across all printings. Basic Energy has no four-copy limit.
- At most one ACE SPEC card total.
- Supported H, I, and J printings for the 2026 Standard format.
Rules snapshot: October 11, 2026. This first version conservatively leaves older prints out. Some older Trainers are legal through matching reprints; that needs a separate check. It also leaves out future sets, unverified special deck rules, and Special Energy.
Our beginner preferences
Try one Basic Energy type. Prefer affordable damaging attacks, owned evolution chains, and useful draw, search, and switching Trainers. Aim around 16 Pokémon, 28 Trainers, and 16 Energy; adjust to what you own. Ratios and readiness thresholds are our heuristics, not official rules.
First game and Balanced require eight Basics; Aggressive requires six. All styles need eight Pokémon, four attacker copies, 12–24 matching Basic Energy, and four each of draw and search Trainers. First game and Balanced also ask for four/two attacker copies with an attack costing at most two Energy. These are consistency heuristics, not a win-rate prediction. Privacy & access
Sign in to use your collection. Accounts save confirmed cards, quantities, decks, favorites and Prize notes online, with a device cache for recovery. Accounts use unique usernames; passwords and recovery codes are stored as hashes. We do not ask for email addresses, real names or phone numbers. Photos, camera snapshots and OCR text stay in temporary device memory and are not saved. The optional camera is enabled only by your action and browser permission. No microphone or video recording is used. Camera access stops after a snapshot, when you leave the scanning area, or when the tab is hidden. Clearing your collection asks whether to update saved decks; delete decks in Decks. Signed-in data loads across devices. Saving pauses if another device has newer changes; review those before replacing either copy.
We store the username and internal account ID, password and recovery-code hashes, and expiring session records needed for sign-in. The auth library uses a generated address ending in accounts.invalid internally; this is not your email and cannot receive mail. We do not add analytics or save raw IP addresses or user agents in account records. Temporary rate limits use hashed network identifiers. Hosting and external services may process connection information.
Optional authenticator-app two-factor authentication stores an encrypted shared secret and encrypted one-use backup codes. Save your backup codes; password recovery does not disable the authenticator. Administrator access requires a verified authenticator. The site owner can access account data for support and maintenance; edits require a reason and are recorded in an audit log. Authentication secrets and password hashes are excluded from the admin console. Audit records concerning your account are removed when you delete it. Your inventories are not used for advertising or model training.
Card images and optional wider searches contact external card-data services. Official video and rules links open external websites with their own privacy policies.
